Despite the prevailing tough times for businesses, Daniel Bradfield, has just launched a new appliance for the home; the Marilyn Airdryer unit. We’re all familiar with the image of Marilyn Monroe standing on a subway grate with her white dress billowing up in the draught and thanks to the iconic image, Daniel Bradfield and Airdryer Systems Ltd are set to revolutionise the way homeowners dry their clothes. The Marilyn is an electrically operated appliance which can dry all of your laundry in as little as eight hours for less than five cent. Recently showcased at several Ideal Home shows, the Marilyn has met with an astounding response and hundreds of sales across Ireland and the UK.
The Marilyn is a slim, lightweight and easy to store appliance, designed to sit under any indoor clothes horse. The AirDryer uses just 25 watts of electricity, redirecting room air at the laundry ensuring that all fabric types can be dried without causing any damage to your clothes and without creating condensation. Based in the Rubicon, Bishopstown, Daniel is now winning awards and commendations for his product including recently scooping the InterTradeIreland Seedcorn award for Best Venture stemming from a university spin-out programme. He was also shortlisted for the 2012 David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Award. AirDryer Systems was also recently shortlisted for the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Munster Awards. They offering direct sales through their website and retail sales through Bandon Co-Op, Dwyers Electrical and Soundstore. Hello,
I have a brother who lives in Ireland and he is very enthousiastic about the Marilyn Airdryer. It made me curious…! Is it also available in the Netherlands?
Hope to be hearing from you.
Best regards,
Joan Hollander
Joan – We only have a UK plug type at the moment – I can send you a unit with an adapter if that’s OK.
I will need to check shipping costs to you.
hi i am just wondering how expensive it is to run the airdryer
Lyanne – It cost 5 cents to run the unit for 12 hours
hi
i would like to know how much would the dryer use in eight hours and would it be more expensive during the day. is there parts available for it and are they expensive. would the room be colderwhile it is on. would it be dangerous to be left on without supervision
i would be thankful if you would reply to the questions above

alice greer
Alice – The unit uses 25 Watts of power – for 12 hours its around 5 cents / 2.5p per 12 hours.
Its perfectly safe you use unattended.
The room will get a little bit cooler are the heat in the room is used to dry the laundry.
