a. Yes – When compared to a tumble dryer, the Marilyn unit can save you over 90% of the energy required to dry your laundry. Using only 25 watts of power, the Marilyn unit is the most energy efficient methods of drying your laundry, apart from outdoors (weather permitting)
Q2. Is additional heating required?
a. No, the Marilyn uses the air in your room; typically this air is at 15oC. When this air is redirected at the Laundry by the Marilyn unit, it dries all of your clothing cheaply and efficiently. No additional heating is required.
Q3. Where can I use the Marilyn?
a. You can use the Marilyn unit in any room within the home / apartment. We do however recommend that the room is suitably ventilated. Leave a window ajar to allow the air to circulate within the room.
Q4. How long does it take to dry a full load of Laundry?
a. On average it takes 5 hours to dry a full load of laundry. Of course this is dependent on the Spin Speed of your washing machine, the fabric type of your garments and the temperature of the Air in the room.
Q5. Do I need a new Clothes rack / Airer?
a. No, the Marilyn works with all types of Clothes Racks and Airers.

a. The Marilyn unit measures 700mm Long X 600m wide X 75mm tall
(27”x 34”x3.5”) and is less than 5Kgs in weight.
The Marilyn comes with its own power supply.
Q7. Is it safe to leave on unattended? Will it over heat if it is left on too long?
It is safe to leave on day and night. The unit is designed not to over heat.
Q8. Is the unit white as shown on the website?
The unit colour may vary. It is made of cleanable plastic, which can be cleaned using a damp cloth.
Q9. Is the unit child-friendly?
The unit is fitted with safety grills and the fans are low-powered for additional safety. The surface may get hot so you’re advised to keep the unit out of reach of children.
